A highly sought-after opportunity to work with a well-established and accredited fire safety company based out of Nottingham. Due to an ever-increasing workload, they have identified the need for a new SHEQ Administrator to assist the SHEQ lead.

The successful candidate will need their NEBOSH as well as experience working with SharePoint and Monday.com, as well as experience working in a similar environment.

 

The Duties

  • Measure Incident Rate
  • Track Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR)
  • Assess the organization's adherence to safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Safety Inspections and Audits
  • Track the identification and timely mitigation of workplace hazards.
  • Ensure that employees are using the required PPE correctly and consistently.
  • Assess the effectiveness of safety training programs by monitoring improvements in behaviour and practices.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and preparedness of employees through regular emergency drills.
  • Monitor KPIs of contracts managers
  • Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) creation and reviewing.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine their root causes and recommend preventive measures and track Near Miss Reporting rate.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, ensuring they are aware of potential risks and know how to work safely.
  • Ensure the proper selection, use, and maintenance of personal protective equipment and enforce compliance.
  • Communicate health and safety information to employees, management, and relevant stakeholders, fostering a transparent and open dialogue.
  • Work closely with management, department heads, safety committees, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to safety.
  • Be familiar with RIDDOR reporting requirements and the HSE reporting process.
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Maintenance.
  • ISO 30001 and ISO 50001 accreditation.
  • CHAS Elite and Construction Line Gold Maintenance.
  • Conduct meeting monthly with internal stakeholders from across the business.
  • Conduct health and safety induction to all new starters joining the business. Review and update the induction process on regular basis, identifying and making new changes as required.
  • Regular travel requirements with different divisions of the business, requiring efficient time manager.

 

The Requirements

  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate
  • Ideally have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar role.
  • Willingness to learn and training in the Construction / Passive Fire Protection
  • Experience of using SharePoint and Monday.com or another similar system such as Asana.
  • Full UK Driving License
